Deadpool 3: Hugh Jackman addresses X-Men canon problems on Wolverine Returns
Hugh Jackman opens up on Wolverine Returns
Following the confirmation of Hugh Jackman’s return to Wolverine in Deadpool 3, Ryan Reynolds has shared a video on Twitter detailing how the iconic mutant returns after his death in 2017’s Logan.
The couch sit-down takes place in the same living room as the original announcement and provides some insight into the threequel. Reynolds confirms that Jackman’s Wolverine still dies in Logan — which takes place in 2029 — and that they are “not touching her” before mocking the film between them:
Reynolds: Hi.
Jackman: Hi. How are you?
Reynolds: You have questions?
Jackman: Yes. I had many questions. I am sure you have many questions. But rest assured, we are yet to answer them. Like, for example, how is Wolverine alive after Logan?
Reynolds: Logan happens in 2029, a completely different thing. Logan died in Logan, didn’t touch him. What happens in our movie, these two f***ing in’ friends…
After mocking Deadpool 3, Foxverse Marvel stars thanked Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and the MCU for the opportunity:
Reynolds: Thanks, Kevin Feige.
Jackman: Love you, Kevin Feige. Thanks, mcu.
The tweet was captioned with a list of things that include a reference to the MCU’s Captain America and his iconic catchphrase, “I can do this all day:”
