MCU history made with new poster for Black Panther 2!

Marvel Studios has one last film to offer the world before the year ends, none other than Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Based on the first trailer that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, the film looks like it will be a powerful and emotional experience. The film will also serve to introduce a massively important character to the MCU: Namor.

Played by Narcos: Tenoch Huerta of Mexico, the iconic hero and mutant, is set to rival in the upcoming film, bringing his underwater nation to toe with Wakanda.

Playing a role like this is a huge undertaking, so it’s always interesting when a relatively unknown actor gets a chance to make a mark in both the MCU and the world. After all, both Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston weren’t nearly as famous as they are now—but their performances stuck with audiences

Now, it’s Huerta’s turn to do that with Namor—and Marvel Studios has taken a big step to show faith in its new Marvel icon.

Introducing… Namoro

Recently, Marvel Studios revealed Standee, a new poster for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which celebrated the film’s big cast.

However, for those who look closely at the poster credits, there is actually something remarkable hidden in the text.

So what does that mean? Well, a film and its studio often give this credit to relatively unknown actors, whom they are projecting in a big role to a much larger audience.

Tenoch’s biggest project has been Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico, but other than that, there aren’t many famous additions to her resume. This upcoming Black Panther film will easily be his biggest role to date. Judging by its new credits, it looks like Marvel Studios has a lot of confidence to bring it to the MCU.

Other examples of “introduction” credits are Christian Bale in Empire of the Sun, Robert Redford in War Hunt, and Johnny Depp in Nightmare on Elm Street.

Special credits other than “introduction” include “accompanying” and “featuring“ credits, which are generally reserved for actors who are usually top-billed, but not the film’s story and/or character. Artists are not capable. , Good examples of this in Marvel movies would be Robert Downey Jr for Spider-Man: Homecoming, Mark Ruffalo for Thor: Ragnarok, and Chris Pratt for Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel Studios knows the long-term value in recognizing its talent publicly and properly in its project credits. Earlier this year, the theatrical poster and credits for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also made MCU history by becoming the first film to credit the sequel as “A Kevin Feige Production”.

Namor can make a lot of noise
Considering how passionate Tenoch Huerta is about the role of Namor, it looks like he’s up to the task. He even went out of his way to learn a Mayan language for the part.

If anyone had any doubts, this gesture of support from Marvel Studios should help ease any concerns.

Considering that the film does well, and Huerta’s performance shines, Namor will almost certainly be one of the biggest players in the MCU. In the comics, the character is also a member of the Illuminati – which is a good thing for him, not so on Earth-838.

But, it certainly could happen within Earth-616 in its future.

Many fans are sad that they will never be able to see Namor and Black Panther’s legendary rivalry on screen. Instead, the load of that responsibility will be evenly distributed over Wakanda—hopefully they’re ready in Huerta’s stores.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in theaters on November 11.
