DC and The CW’s Superman & Lois have long been praised by fans and critics alike. The show, which will see its third season premiere in 2023, takes a “post-mythology” angle of sorts. It depicts Clark Kent and Lois Lane, who have been married for years and have already conquered many of Sman’s enemies. These incarnations of the characters also have two teenage twin sons, Jonathan and Jordan.
Even though Superman and Lois have taken some liberties here and there with Kal-El’s lore, the core of the character is still there. He’s still a beacon of good and hope, and in the eyes of some fans, a more authentically Sman than the version portrayed by Henry Cavill.
Throughout the show, Clark has adapted several times to fight evil as the Man of Steel. The suit in question is very true to the comics and has all the elements one would expect in a Sman suit. Although there have been minor changes since the series premiered, and it looks like Season 3 will bring with it another update to the costume.
A Look at Superman’s Season 3 Suits
New photos from the set of Sman & Lois Season 3 have surfaced online These new shots reveal the updated outfit that series star Tyler Hoechlin will wear. Take a look at the images below:
This new version of Hoechlin’s Sman suit may look very similar to the previous versions, but there are actually some subtle differences.
First, the “S” shield on his chest is now more prominent, being molded from a thicker material. Additionally, the color of the muscles on his torso has been changed. Not to mention that a full head-to-toe suit looks a few shades darker. Like the chest shield, the belt is also dense in appearance.
Then again, nothing big. The outfit is still looking very classic (if one excuses the absence of red tights) and unmistakable as a Sman suit.
Sman & Lois does not yet have an announced premiere date for its third season, but the show was recently in the news for other reasons. Jordan Elsas, who played Clark’s son Jonathan, left the show and was reunited with actor Michael Bishop.
